Sawaal hai ... सवाल है

So yesterday (26th July) marked the 3rd anniversary of the horrific series of bomb blasts that rocked our beloved Ahmedabad.

Maybe with the same sentiments hanging heavy on her mind and also the recent Mumbai bombings, apnuahmedabadi - Bindu J Vyas threw a challenge to our resident poet Kavi Raj.

सवाल है

ये कौन हैवान बना

मचा रहा कोहराम है

क्या उसका कोई घर नहीं

नहीं क्या कोई काम है

क्यूँ सब तरफ मासूमों

का वो करे बुरा हाल है

ये मेरा इक सवाल है

क्यूँ सोचता नहीं है वो

के जनम एक बार है

क्यूँ दुश्मनी में तत्पर

सबको मारने को तैयार है

मचा रहा सभी जगह

क्यूँ तेज़ इक बवाल है

ये मेरा इक सवाल है

कहीं पे बमों से

कहीं पे गोलियों की बोछार से

मिटा रहा है वो

प्यार को सत्कार को औज़ार से

है सहमी सृष्टि जाने

क्यूँ आया इक भूचाल है

ये मेरा इक सवाल है

पहले कभी सुनाई देता

था ना किस्सा ये इस देश में

अब घूमता रहता

हर जगह दरिंदा कई भेस में

और मचाया उसने क्यूँ

आतंक हर साल है

ये मेरा इक सवाल है
